First graders went on a procession through the school with their sugar skull masks.

Their task was to make symmetrical masks, but if they wanted to put an eye patch on their mask they could do that.  It was the only assymetrical part that was permissible.  For the procession they all created a quiet sound and did a small movement so that we could visit our fellow students as if we were coming from the spirit world.  We definitely spooked some classes!!
